HP Forum 280423 How to reinstate hard drive

Dear HP Forum, the hard drive on my HP Mini 110-3530NR Netbook failed catastrophically. It would not even power up. So I bought another and installed it. I know the hard drive is recognized by the machine as it is part of the boot options at F9.

I have a backup of the failed drive on an external drive. I do not have internet access where the Netbook is. I need detailed instructions as to how to reinstall the boot up and other data in my back up, without access to internet.

Thanks, JC

Hi @coppens1

Welcome to the HP support community.

I understand that you are trying to transfer data from your external hard drive , I am glad to assist you

To be able to assist you better please let me know if  you have created a

bootable external hard drive. This feature copies all system-related files to the external hard drive to make it bootable. Thus, you can plug a USB drive into your computer and boot your computer from the external hard drive.
