canon mg3250

I want to scan some documents to send to someone via my laptop. Can't seem to get any joy. Can anyone help?

First - this is a HP user forum.  The scan function is part of the printer, which in this case, is a Canon product.

 

But in general, assuming the software package is installed, the scan function is part of the software for the printer.  Here is the software site for that model Canon printer

It states the scan function to be in this software  "IJ Scan Utility: The software that allows you to easily scan photos, documents, etc. "  Start that the scanner function from the Canon software.

If you have install the complete software package, there should be an Icon somewhere on the desktop that gives the user access to the various sections.  On the desktop look for this

then click on the up pointing arrow and pick the scan function.
