Hi
I own a new one OMEN Laptop - 15-dh1012nf / Windows 10 Family bought on France HP Store, new one for this one replaces a former one warranty exchanged by HP Store for sd card reader errors...
Inexplicably the two PCs encounter random operating errors on the SD card reader, device Genesys Logic: sometimes sd card is not recognized, sometimes it is, sometimes Windows Events Viewer show error disk on it.
I upgraded to BIOS F.14 Rev.A, the Genesys Logic driver is ok with the newest version.
Is this device Genesys Logic known as hardware with errors?
I give up relaunching HP Store for a new replacement...
Best regards

Hi
Thanks for your advice and so I updated the BIOS to version F.15 Rev.A (HP Customer Support - Software and Driver Downloads site gave this new BIOS I did not notice it).
I updated the BIOS version F.15 Rev.A: just before the last restarting after udpating I saw briefly a screen with a message of this type more or less I think:
"dev TITANIC fail"!!??...
I was not sure that the BIOS was effective but it seemed ok, the desktop shows the BIOS F15 A version (msinfo32) and boots without any problem...
But unfortunately with this BIOS update no improvement regarding the sd card reader of the platform...: sometimes ok, sometimes not , whatever the sd card I use.
Moreover I noticed this message in Windows Event Viewer :"HPDSKFLT...An unsupported disk adapter was found... ID 1001".
In fact this message is present from the beginning of the system configuration (but no error found in Device Manager).
I regularly update my platform with HP Support Assistant, Windows Update, Intel Driver and Driver Assistant.
Best regards
