I need to carry out a factory reset on my Stream 11. I have manged to delete enough files to have 8.3GB space on the hard drive.
However, the reset fails at 29/30% and I don't know why. Any ideas?
I have tried to do the reset via F11 on reboot, from the ESC menu on reboot and from the Control Panel.
The machine runs ok after the reset is cancelled.

You're welcome.
Clean install is the safest and easiest way you can install Windows 10 in your laptop now

Mostly because of frequent Microsoft Windows 10 UPGRADES, recovery partition gets corrupted and is rendered useless.
Here is when HP Recovery USB created using HP Recovery Manager just after initial setup of your laptop becomes useful.
Alternatively, you can clean install Windows 10 Home 64 bit using Microsoft windows media creation tool by creating UEFI bootable installation USB:

Windows will be automatically activated after installation while connected to internet
Download additional drivers from your HP support page

The suggestions given above would help you clean install Windows 10 Home. Otherwise you can order HP Recovery USB directly from HP technical support directly for your model.

Thanks Visruth,
I crossed my fingers and tried to build a back up USB, but that failed too. I'm now playing around with DISM. If this doesn't help I will try the link you shared.
It looks a little scary at the mo.
