HP Stream
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello, for a while now I've been struggling to make more space on my computer. I don't have anything saved on it or any extra software installed, and I have several GBs of temporary files that I am unable to access or delete. I only had around 3 GB left - I have an HP Stream laptop.

I looked around for what I could uninstall, and made a mistake by uninstalling the HP Privacy Settings. I don't know what this app does, but after uninstalling it, my available space went down from 3 GB to 1 GB. So now I have even less.

I am wondering is there any way I could reverse this or get the app back?

My second question is, I would really like to do a system restore and just get back to factory settings. But I need 4 GB for this which I don't have. Is there *anything* I could do? I don't have enough in my storage to update windows 10 or install Office, and it's really annoying. Thank you!

Have you made a restore point before? Go to the start menu and search for Recovery, then click on it to open the category. It should lead you to the Advanced Recovery Tools in the control panel. In there, click on the second option titled Open system restore. Once there you have two choices for the recommended install or to choose another restore point. If you remembered when you did it, you can choose the latter and see if the option is available. Afterwards click on next and finish when you have finalized your decision.

My Setup:
HP Notebook: HP 14-dk0028wm
Current Operating System: Ubuntu 20.04 LTS

Thanks for the reply! No unfortunately I don't have any restore points except a really recent one that was made after I uninstalled that app.

For some reason, I have several GB of temporary files that I can't access or delete. I tried Tree Size to see what it is, and it's something in the "config" folder, it looks like IE5 files. However, I can't access them because it's a junction (as I understand). This is the original problem I had on my computer. I tried various things like Disk Clean app and even CCleaner but it's not working, and I'm not sure what those files are.
