Your Spectre would be 64-bit, not 32-bit.

If you need to know what version of Windows you are running, press the WindowsKey+R and enter winver

That will open a windows displaying the Windows version information.

The laptop has a boot up failure 3fo after running tests it says has a hard drive failure. I am in the process of changing SSD and was going to create a windows 10 to a USB but didn't know what version to use. As i cant get into laptop to find out.

OK, understand.

If your PC is a 2016 model or newer, you should see if you can make a bootable USB recovery drive using the HP cloud recovery tool on a working PC.

The recovery drive can then be used to install Windows and the HP drivers and utilities that originally came with your PC.

You will need a working PC and a 32GB USB stick to hold the recovery files. Here is the link:

Thank you for all your help. was able to get laptop up and running. I need to just try to get info off old drive. when i put the ssd in a Sokiwi enclosure to usb computers dont recognize the drive.

I've not used that enclosure, so I don't know what to advise about it.  And if the SSD is an NVMe drive, I've not used any of those in enclosures -- so I don't have one to recommend.
