When I try to update to Windows 1809, the whole process is performed but when it is going to restart it remains in the boot screen and does not load the system, so I am forced to turn it off leaving this error:
0x1900101-0x20017
Error in the installation in the SAFE_OS phase with an error during the BOOT operation.

Greetings!

Welcome to the HP Support Community. This is a great place to get support, find answers and tips to your technical queries. I have reviewed your post and I understand, there seems to be an issue with the installation of 1809 update.

Don't worry, I'm here to help! To better assist you -

1) Are you trying to install the update using the PC's Windows Updates or Media Creation Tool or the update assistance?

2) Is your computer booting up or just shows the "0x.." error

Let's try these steps -

If the computer boots up, try installing the update from here. Click on "Update Now" and follow the on-screen instructions.

If this fails, you may also try the next option on the same page, which is to create the Media Creation Tool.

If the computer is not booting up, please try a system restore -

1) Shutdown the computer.
2) Turn the computer back on again and repeatedly tap on the ESC until a Startup menu appears.
3) Press F11 once for System Recovery.
4) Choose the Keyboard Layout.
5) Click on Troubleshoot.
6) Go to Recovery Manager and click on System Restore.
7) Choose a Restore point or a Restore date when the computer was working fine.
8) Click on OK to initialize the System Restore.

Hope this helps!

Let me know how that goes.
