So, you want me to uninstal and reinstal all my apps (I have over 30) because the BIOS in this awful laptop does not do what it is supposed to do?

And this is your solution going forward? I it happens again, I reset my PC again?

You can imagine, not all of us have this time to waste?

So, your "solution" (I am assuming it is guesswork or you will keep recommending things for me to try) is for me to reset, thereby uninstal and reinstal all my apps (I have over 30 off them).

So, once I do this, is the problem going to stop? Because then 3 weeks down the line, if it happens again, I shall have to uninstal and re-instal again?

@spectred

I understand your concerns.

In that case, I would suggets you contact our phone support and check for the support option. They will help you.

Here is how you can get in touch with phone support.

1)Click on this link - www.hp.com/contacthp/

2)Select the product type.

3)Enter the serial number of your device or select let HP detect your product option.

4)Select the country from the drop-down.

5)You should see the HP phone support number or Chat option listed.

We are experiencing longer than expected wait times to reach an agent due to the CoViD-19 impact and there might have been issues in you getting the expected resolution on the issue.

Have a  nice day!!

No help.

My country (Kenya) does not have a support phone number for this.

Awful. Solutions.

@spectred In that case, If you have an HP authorized service center near by, you should be able to take it to them and have it checked,

Here is a link to HP Service Centers, by Country/Region: Click here

If you wish to thank me for my efforts, you could click on "Accept as solution" on my post as the solution should help others too.
