Hello! I got a new HP Omen Transcend  16” laptop u1000nl (i9 14900H, 32 Gb, RTX 4070) and I have been trying to activate the Adaptive Battery Optimizer to preserve battery health. I contacted the HP support but they could not help me because the procedures they suggested me I tried already without success. In the BIOS, the setting is listed as “Enabled / Not active”, but it doesn’t seem to work — when I keep the laptop plugged in all day, the battery always charges to 100%, instead of stopping at 80% as expected. Does anyone know how to properly activate this feature or if there’s another way to limit the charge level on this model? I’d really appreciate any guidance. Thanks in advance!

Hi:

Please see this information regarding the HP battery optimizer feature.

HP Gaming Laptops - Introducing Adaptive Battery Optimizer, Designed to Prolong Battery Lifespan | H...

It will not limit your notebook's battery charge to 80% if it is enabled.

Only some higher end HP business notebooks have the option to limit the battery charging to 80%.

Hello, Yeah I got it. So there is yet no option to limit the charging to 80% 😞 I hope HP will add this feature on the gaming hub. Thank you!!
