Microsoft Windows 11

Hi! I've been having issues with this problem for almost a year. My aunt decided to give me her laptop but she was the admin of the laptop, which was no problem since I had her pin. But one day, I went to enter the pin again and it said, "Something went wrong and your PIN isn't available (code: 0x8007139f)". So now, when I have to download something, I have to call her to put in her password. This is a huge inconvenience considering I'm in school for Computer Engineering, so I have to download a lot of different software. What is this about? Also, how can I become the admin?

It sounds like you are perhaps signing into a regular user account that lacks administrator privilege.

What?

Your account must include admin level control to install software.

Or, perhaps you are using your Aunt's login credentials.

Or something else is going on that leaves you without full control of the computer.

What to do?

Depends on why you are in this situation.

For example...
You -- or your aunt if she won't give you the password to an account that includes administrator control -- could edit your "user" account to change your account to type Administrator account.

If you do not even have your own account, your Aunt must either give you the password to her admin account -- or any account that includes Administrator control -- or your Aunt must create an account for you and then edit the account to change it to type Administrator.

What else?

Beyond provided basic advice that includes "might be this or that", we cannot help.
