Hi @Roly48,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

Sorry for the inconvenience caused don’t worry let me help you.

To better understand the issue, could you please provide a few more details?

  • Which version of Windows are you currently running?
  • Are you using built-in speakers, headphones, or both?
  • Did you notice any audio issues before the update, or did this happen immediately after it installed?

In the meantime, here are some troubleshooting steps you can try:

  1. Check Device Manager:
    • Press Windows + X → Device Manager → Sound, video and game controllers.
    • See if your audio device appears there or if there’s a yellow exclamation mark.
    • If missing, click Action → Scan for hardware changes.
  2. Update or Roll Back Drivers:
    • If the audio device appears but isn’t working, right-click → Update driver → Search automatically.
    • If the issue started after a recent update, you can also try Roll Back Driver under Driver Properties.
  3. Run Windows Troubleshooter:
    • Go to Settings → System → Sound → Troubleshoot and follow the prompts.
  4. Check HP Support Assistant:
    • Open HP Support Assistant → My devices → Updates to see if there’s an updated audio driver specific for your Spectre model.
  5. BIOS/Chipset Updates:
    • Occasionally, Windows updates require updated BIOS or chipset drivers. Check HP’s support site for your Spectre x360 model to ensure everything is current.

I hope this helps.
