Currently, this laptop only has an option to set keyboard backlight to bright, dim, or off with a timeout of only 30 seconds.
There is currently no BIOS option to adjust that timeout.
Any chance of a BIOS firmware update to allow keyboard backlight timeout to be adjusted?
30 seconds is annoyingly short and the user should have the option to keep it on always if desired.

Unfortunately,
At the moment, the answer is a firm "No".
At this writing:
The Advanced menu in the BIOS is generally available in Business / Commercial class machines.
Examples of business class systems (not all inclusive): Zbook, Elitebook
Consumer grade systems, for example (not all inclusive) including plain "Laptop", Spectre, Pavilion, and Envy do not include the Advanced menu in the BIOS.

This is one of those situations where the how-to document mentions that a particular feature might not be supported on every computer. The document does not offer an exact explanation because the document is not written for YOUR computer.

Note:
If there is not a setting for the backlight timing in the BIOS, this behavior might not be supported on the notebook. Check your notebook model's product support documentation to confirm support.
