At some short irregular intervals, my audio glitches out like it's lagging or breaking off. This has been happening everywhere, while playing any videos, playing video games, etc. And earlier, the video used to glitch out as well.

I have tried to update my CPU and GPU drivers, turn off power management, keep the minimum processor speed at 100% for on battery/plugged in but none have fixed my issues.

Hi @WizardsPlace,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

I hear that audio glitches while playing videos/games.

May I know which game you are playing?

I noticed it only happened when I used my headphones.

The same never happened when I used my headphones on other devices.

Hi @WizardsPlace,

Thank you for sharing the details.

The Victus by HP 15.6-inch Gaming Laptop 15-fb3000 includes these relevant built-in audio and connection features:

  • Audio: Dual speakers, DTS: X® Ultra, and HP Audio Boost

  • Headphone support: (1) headphone/microphone combo port

  • Wireless options: Wi‑Fi 6 / Wi‑Fi 6E and Bluetooth support, depending on configuration

Since the issue happens only when using headphones and the headphones work fine on other devices, the provided document confirms that the laptop does support both wired headset connection through the combo jack and wireless audio connections depending on the model configuration. However, the supplied source does not include a specific troubleshooting procedure for headphone audio glitches on this laptop, so I can’t confirm an exact fix from the provided material alone.

You may want to identify whether your headphones are:

  • connected through the 3.5 mm headphone/microphone combo port, or

  • connected through Bluetooth

    I hope this will help.

Take care and have a good day.

I'm an HP Employee.

It’s connected via Bluetooth only.
