Hi @Ravimeena,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.
If your HP PC is automatically opening Microsoft Edge and showing “How to get help in Windows 11” or opening multiple tabs/pages, this is usually caused by a Stuck Key, Malware, or a Startup script issue, or it could be related to a Corrupt Keyboard driver or an Accessibility issue.
Please try the steps below to help and solve the issue:
1. Check the F1 Key
- Press the F1 key a few times to see if it’s physically stuck.
- Try using an external keyboard to test if the issue persists.
2. Disable “Get Help” Shortcut
- Open Registry Editor (Win + R, type regedit)
- Navigate to:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer - Right-click > New > DWORD (32-bit) value
Name it: NoWinKeys
Set value to: 1 - Restart your PC.
⚠️ Be cautious when editing the registry. Let me know if you'd like a step-by-step guide or script.
3. Check Startup Programs
- Press Ctrl + Shift + Esc to open Task Manager.
- Go to the Startup tab and disable suspicious entries.
4. Run a Malware Scan
- Use Windows Security or a trusted tool like Malwarebytes to scan your system.
5. Update or Reinstall Keyboard Drivers
- Go to Device Manager > Keyboards
- Right-click your keyboard > Uninstall device
- Restart your PC to reinstall the driver automatically.
I hope this helps.
Take care, and have an amazing day!
