Dear Hp,
I am facing my hardware issue on my Victus Gaming Laptop 16-s0022ns (7Z4G8EA)
1: I HAVE DISABLE Visualization Technology from the bios still the laptop is running at vt enable (this means that the bios setting is not applying to the system) which is a big issue for me
( Hp omen works well with no such issues)
I have confirmed from the other VICTUS users and the problem was same
I have disable fast startup and cold booted 2 times to make sure the system restarts properly but the result was same the vt was enabled in the window ( confirm from systeminfo command) and task manager were as on opening the bios the vt was already disable in the bios
I i need to disable vt to run some applications but the VICTUS software is not doing so.
I hope you will reach out to me and help me to solve the issue as. Soon as possible.
Thank you.

@2010029, Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand how critical it is to have BIOS settings apply correctly, especially when virtualization technology (VT-x) interferes with specific applications.
You've disabled Virtualization Technology (VT-x) in BIOS, but Windows still reports it as enabled via system info and Task Manager. You've also tried cold booting and disabling Fast Startup, but the issue persists.
Recommended Steps to Resolve:
Ensure BIOS Setting Is Saved Properly:
- Enter BIOS Setup (press Esc or F10 during boot).
- Navigate to Advanced > Virtualization Technology.
- Set it to Disabled.
- Press F10 to Save and Exit. Confirm changes are saved.
Disable Fast Startup (already done, but reconfirm):
- Go to Control Panel > Power Options > Choose what the power buttons do.
- Click Change settings that are currently unavailable.
- Uncheck Turn on fast startup.
- Save changes and perform a full shutdown (Shift + Shutdown).
Perform a Full Power Cycle:
- After shutdown, disconnect the power adapter and hold the power button for 15 seconds.
- Reconnect and boot the system.
Check for BIOS Updates:
- Visit the official HP support page for your model:
Victus 16-s0022ns Drivers & BIOS - Download and install the latest BIOS update if available.
- After updating, recheck the VT-x setting in BIOS and Windows.
Temporary Workaround:
- If VT-x is interfering with your application, consider using a different system (like your HP Omen) until a fix is released.
- Alternatively, check if your application has a VT-x bypass or compatibility mode.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
