I need help with my laptop Compaq CQ40-324LA. I need update the BIOS system.  Where can i find this file? i'm looking for it in this site, but it doesn't exist.

Hi:

 

HP retired support for that model since it is more than 10 years old.

 

That is why you cannot find any information.

 

I can't find any specifications on it.

 

What model processor does it have?

 

What BIOS version do you have installed now?

This laptop has an AMD processor, Sempron SI-42 2.1 Ghz, uses the motherboard JBL20 LA-4111P. The BIOS version is F49.   ¿Do you know any link where i can download the bios for this model? thanks for your response.

I recommend you only upgrade to one of the processors listed in the manual.
