Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I had a HP laptop(HP Elitebook 840 G3) which recently I decided to give my younger brother and he decided to factory reset the laptop and he decided to copy some file from our dads desktop which were all in Windows 11 operating system via removing the hard drive and connecting externally to the desktop and overwriting the original files in the hard drive.

So apparently when he did that and connected the hard drive back into the laptop the tax bar and the starts bar stopped working and anytime I try to click it it will show system not operating you it will shut down system and restart all over again and the could not access anything order than file manager so he not decided to remove the hard drive again and format it completely using the desktop and when he did that and connected the hard drive back to the laptop is motivate some errors which was fixing hard drive before I know a system could not respond and then it now requests for BIOS password which apparently using switches we bought it at a second hand price for someone else and we don't know the exact BIOS password which was used so is there a way I can resolve was there anyway I can resolve it.
