I've been unsuccessful in updating my device BIOS version from F.06 to F.07 (sp93370.exe) through the HP Support Assistant.  It runs Win 10 Home v.1809 ( upgraded yesterday). HP BIOS Update Utility has been downloaded and installed succeessfully but during the selection process of further options for upgrade the needed one of three saying UPDATE. The BIOS update is not compatible with this device. Does anyone has an advice or a solution to it? Many thanks in advance!

P.S. I'll try to start the installation directly from the file saved on drive C avoiding using the Assistant. benn told that might help...

It seems you managed to get the BIOS updated to the correct version based on the Model and in this case the correct version was F.07  sp93346.exe

If HPSA is not prompting to update the BIOS, then it means your Notebook already has the latest BIOS now

Welcome to HP Support Community

I suggest you download the BIOS directly from this Link: https://support.hp.com/gb-en/drivers/selfservice/hp-pavilion-14-ce0000-laptop-pc/20283999/model/2274...

Keep me posted how it goes

Thank you 😊

Hi KraziToad

Thank you for suggestion and the link. Well, I did managed to update to version F.07 (sp93346.exe).

However Im a bit puzzled. It shows that there is two versions of BIOS F.07 are exist, the difference is only in the description of its purpose (sp93370 - Provides improved system stability / sp93346.exe - Provides improved security of UEFI code and variables) Any suggestions of why and what I should do now?

I have also tried to update to the sp93370 after the successful update ive mentioned above but with no positive result.

P.S. As of just now noticed that the HP Support Assistant does not offer to update the BIOS anymore and the offered update sp93370 has dissapeared (though it is still available through the link you have posted earlier).
