I would be very gratefull if some could tell me how to get hold of the most recent BIOS for my rather old laptop. I have read the manual on line but there can apparently be a number of different mother boards for the V6000 series. It is a Compaq V6000 with p/n RM484EA#ABU and s/n [Personal Information Removed]

V6133eu is the model number and it is no longer supported by HP at all. This is from a 3rd party site:

This is F.43 BIOS. I believe this model is just about identical to the HP Pavilion DV6000z models (AMD) which was sold in larger numbers and you may have more luck finding the downloads for it, but HP has also retired that one.
