Batteriedrain while using

Hello first of All Sorry for my bad english im a German. So i have a HP Omen 17 an106ng gaming laptop and while its plugged in its losing a bit of Batterie capacity while gaming is this normal? And can i fix it with some Updates or something iam really looking forward to your help. Because i think this might kill my Batterie over a long period of time so it would be cool if its easy fixable but its not so Bad

From your description, it sounds like the gaming functions are placing such a heavy load on the processor and GPU that additional power is needed from the battery.

I don't do gaming on laptops, so I can't advise any way to stop this other than maybe reducing the graphics demands imposed by the game settings.

Also, I would not go looking for BIOS updates as those are not going to reduce the power demands from the gaming functions and will not address this issue.

You can check the battery to some extent using Powershell built into Windows 10. as follows:
1) Press Windows key + X
2) Click Powershell in the menu
3) Type powercfg /batteryreport

This will generate a report and if you scroll down, you will see Design Capacity and Full Charge Capacity ratings. If the Full Charge Capacity is much less than 100% of the Design Capacity, it is faulty and needs to be replaced.
