So I just bought a hp spectre 360x recently from Japan with a help of my aunt. But I live in Myanmar. I dont really know much about laptop and this is my first time buying so i know about the voltage supplied in different countires. So in Japan the voltage suppplied is 100V but here in Myanmar the voltage supplied is 230V. The charger is 125 V so is it safe to plug in directly? When i tried to charge the adapter gets really hot so i m worry of fire. PS my battery is dying so this is quite urgent. Thank you in advance

Hello @zwe8
First of all, never do experiments with electricity !
Sorry to hear that you are having problems ...
First send a picture of the back of the charger with detailed specification.
Input Voltage (V) [ range ] is important !

best regards

Hello @zwe8

Your 7A (Amps) / 125V plug is not suitable for 230V.
You must use a different power cable. If the power cable cannot be replaced, you will need a new power supply.
Please ask an electronics specialist or a computer store.
