HP PAVILLION NOTEBOOK
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My laptop battery is draining too fast . It last for max. 45 minutes only. Its current cycle count is 348/1000. My BIOS version is F.52 . When again download this version again , the battery gives a backup of 2.5 hours or when i make BIOS recovery it also gives the same backup of around 3 hours . But this backup is only for the first charge after recovery or update thereafter it again starts draining too fast and last for 1 hour only. I am using HP PAVILION NOTEBOOK 15- au620tx model. I had uninstall and then install the battery drivers from device manager but still the problem is  not solved . I had never used laptop while charging. Please guide me asap.

@Garvit11, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Yes, the latest BIOS version available is F.52

Let us try these steps to resolve this issue with the battery:

Reinstalling Microsoft ACPI-Compliant Control Method Battery under the device manager may resolve this issue. Let us try these steps:

Step 1: Click the Windows “Start” button and right-click “Computer.”

Step 2: Click “Manage,” then “Device Manager.”

Step 3: Click the “Batteries” section. A list of devices will appear.

Step 4: Right-click the “Microsoft ACPI-Compliant Control Method Battery” device and click “Uninstall.”

Step 5: Click the “Action” menu item and “Scan for Hardware Changes” to reinstall the driver.

Restart the computer and check for the issue.

If the issue persists, click here to run a battery test to check on the PC. You may also run a test from the BIOS screen,

  1. Hold the power button for at least five seconds to turn off the computer.
  2. Turn on the computer and immediately press Esc repeatedly, about once every second. When the menu appears, press the F2 key.
  3. Perform Component Test > Battery. Share the result on your next post.

For more info on resolving this issue, refer to this document.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
