Hello. I did a bit of research, but seems like this problem isnt easy solvable. Anyways is there any way i can limit my battery charge on my laptop? i've selected product name.
Im familiar with bios, but i cannot find the setting. Is there any way to fix this?
I have tried searching previous posts on community, and i have found user with same problem, and solution was that expert messaged him directly.
Please help, this "setting" was not noted on laptop in shop, or in any purchase deals,  i surely wouldnt buy it if i knew u couldnt manage battery charging. I mean its 2026 guys, not really reserved for flagship models. Not cool.

Hi @Djade28,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query.

If you are using an HP laptop, one way to manage your battery health and potentially limit the battery charge is through the HP Battery Health Manager feature.

This feature is integrated into the BIOS settings of most HP business notebooks and is designed to optimize battery health by minimizing battery exposure to factors like high state of charge, which can accelerate battery degradation over time.

How to Use HP Battery Health Manager:

  • Access the BIOS Setup Utility:
  • Turn off your laptop and connect it to AC power.
  • Turn it on and repeatedly press the f10 key to enter the BIOS Setup Utility.

Navigate to Power Management Options:

  • Use the arrow keys to select Advanced > Power Management Options.

Select HP Battery Health Manager:

  • Look for Battery Health Manager and review the available settings.

Take care and have an amazing day!
