EliteBook
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi there, last week i installed HP PC Hardware Diagnostics Windows tool on my laptop. After certain time period, some popup appeared to set battery charge level to 80%.

Since then battery does not charge beyond 80%.

I do not find the setting to change the charge level back to 100%. How do I change it back? Where is the setting?

What is your Elitebook ? My machine which is an HP 840 G5 has 80% as default

Otherwise you can change from BIOS as shown on the following example:

Hello

probable Battery Health Manager is enabled in your BIOS setting.

I have such a setting with my Elitebook. it charge at 80%, no more

For me it's not a problem because my laptop is always connected to AC but I reduce the risk to have battery swelling issue.

IF you need 100% charging , then enter in BIOS setup and change Battery Health Manager setting.

bye
