HP Pavilion Gaming - 15-ec0044ur
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Good afternoon, I'm interested in information about updating the BIOS system on a laptop Bios update on HP Pavilion Gaming - 15-ec0044ur. The official product page lists version F.12 Rev. And, although updates over the air came and now this is version F. 13. Information on this Bios says that it is outdated and an update is required. I want to know what is the current version of this model?

I would be grateful if there are those who have this information!

@stepi1,

Welcome to our HP User Forum!

It is interesting that according to HP, the most recent BIOS version is indeed F.12https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/hp-pavilion-gaming-15-ec0000-laptop-pc-series/29322....

If you could, I would recommend the BIOS rollback function.  However, it is widely reported that users are unable to perform a successful BIOS rollback.

First, please make sure your Windows is completely up-to-date.

Next, I would recommend that you run a system test on your computer to make sure all the hardware components are working fine:

If the hardware test pass, then you may consider performing a cloud recovery following the steps in the following link -please be advised that this is an inconvenient step, because you should back-up your personal files and such:

Hope this was helpful.

Thanks for the answer. But wouldn't that put me in the same situation as now? After all, after the system is rolled back, I will be offered to install the latest available version of Bios from the official site, that is, F.12 Rev A, and the current Bios will roll through the update center, so I want to know which Bios is relevant for this board in order to get stable work OS. I hope you understand what I mean. Thank you.

@stepi1,

You mentioned in your first post that your BIOS version is now F.13 even though HP's driver page states that the latest driver is F.12 Rev A.

At this point maybe it would be worth-it to contact HP tech support to figure out what to do: https://www.hp.com/us-en/shop/cv/customerservice#TechSupport.
