I have an HP Envy TouchSmart m7-j078ca Notebook PC. Since the upgrade to Windows 10 my Blu-ray player does not detect a blu-ray disk. I have updated Cyberlink PowerDVD, installed VLC and Leawo Blu-ray Player. Nothing. Also a driver update for my Blu-ray DVD player is not listed on the software update page. Does HP have a listing somewhere for a more current driver.
All three programs play regular DVDs with no problem.

Thanks for reaching out to us on HP Support Forums. 🙂 I came across your post and would like to help.
I understand that you have an HP ENVY TouchSmart m7-j078ca Notebook. I read that ever since you upgraded the laptop Win10, the Blu-ray drive does not detect a Blu-Ray disk. You have updated the Cyberlink power DVD and installed other players too. I appreciate the steps you have performed and have certainly done a good job.
To provide an accurate resolution, I need a few more details:
- Is the blu ray drive able to read other DVDs and CDs (if available)?
- Have you tried with multiple blu ray disks?
Meanwhile, I suggest you to perform the steps as described in detail from this link. These steps normally help in fixing blu ray related issues in Win10.
I sincerely hope this fixes the issue. Let me know how it goes. Cheers! 🙂
