I just got a ProBook 640 G2 Laptop, my Bluetooth is not working, After inserting a sim card in the laptop can not recognize the sim card or the network provider

Hi:

 

Bluetooth:  What model wireless network adapter does your notebook come with?

 

If you don't know, go to the device manager, click to expand the Network Adapters device manager category, and there you will find the name and model number of the wireless network adapter.

 

SIM Card...all 640 G2's have a SIM card slot.  What 90% of them don't have is the optional WWAN card that connects to the cellular network.

 

In order for the SIM card to work, your notebook has to have one of the following WWAN cards showing up under the Network Adapters device manager category...

 

HP lt4120 Qualcomm® Snapdragon™ X5 LTE Mobile Broadband Module

 

or...


HP hs3110 HSPA+ Mobile Broadband Module
