HP Recommended

Hi, I have an hp pavilion gaming laptop gtx 1050 I think the model hp-15 dk0068wm. i had to get an ac adapter. I got it from Amazon and it’s the same as the old one just not an hp ac. I keep getting a message that “ your computer will run in reduced performance mode and may not charge. Usually original power adapters recommended.” Is this normal? I have a 135w 19.5v 6.9a but not an hp ac adapter. Maybe I can get a link to my ac adapter if this one won’t work.
