every time I power on my laptop, a message pop up first on my screen sayin - "the cmos checksum is invalid. the cmos will be reset to the default configuration and will be rebooted. please check your bios setup options to see if they change"

but thing is I already updated my bios version to latest version and rechecked correct time setting there too. but still this message pops up everytime. can anyone tell me why is that happening and whats solution of that, since my laptop is no longer under warranty, so I will appreciate any help regarding this. thnks

Welcome to the HP Support Community. 

 

I'd suggest you try updating the BIOS using these steps - Updating the BIOS

 

If the issue still persists, this indicates a hardware issue and I'd suggest you Contact HP in your region regarding the service options for your computer.

 

If you are having trouble navigating through the above options, it's most likely because the device is out of warranty. If yes? please send me a private message with the region you are contacting us from. Check next to your profile Name, you should see a little blue envelope, please click on it.
