You're very welcome.

Sorry that driver didn't work, but at least you now have the latest one installed.

One other suggestion...total long shot.

There is a HP quick launch buttons driver that maybe you need to install...

 Info file:

ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp46001-46500/sp46168.html

Exe file:

ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp46001-46500/sp46168.exe

well...it seems that any of the tricks work...

My .bat files work, but after you press the button to activate the wifi....

Your file SP46168 doesn't make any difference or add any shortcut to the programs folder that I can play with.

Maybe is some software that we are missing and that is not showing on  HP webpage, which is still telling:

HP is compiling your results. This could take up to 3 minutes, depending on your computer and connection speed. Thank you for your patience." but doesn't moves from there...

Thanks for your help.

Paul, I was able to make it work !

Searched in internet and found this https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebooks-Archive-Read-Only/Presario-CQ60-wireless-service-not-startin...

So, I've downloaded the 44700.exe, installed, restarted and voila!

There is any way that I can download all files for my laptop as supposed to be from HP webpage?

That is great news.

The only way I know of to find drivers for your notebook is to visit this site...This site is reputable.

https://www.helpjet.net/files-HP-Compaq-Presario-CQ60-202US.html

Even if you don't trust this site, you can use it to get the drivers from the HP FTP site as I did for you.

Drop the last two numbers of their file name, and look for them on the HP FTP site.

ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/

For example...the first chipset driver file they list...sp4516958.exe. Drop the 58 and you are left with sp45169.

Look that up on the FTP site...

ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp45001-45500/sp45169.html

ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp45001-45500/sp45169.exe
