Hi,

I bought this laptop a few months ago for work, but also for CSGO, it's one of the few games I play. The manufacturer states that CSGO's frame rate is 50fps on 1920x1080, but the game is barely playable (on average 25fps) in the following conditions:

- 1280x720 resolution

- all details are set to LOW (vertical sync too is off)

- all apps are closed, including anti virus and background apps

- Game Mode is on

- laptop is set for HIGH PERFORMANCE

- laptop is plugged in

RESULT: 25fps on average, but the fps often drops to 5-7

On 1920x1080, in the same conditions as above, the average frame rate is lower, and the fps drops to 2. If I enable vertical sync, the game is unplayable, the frame rate drops to 2 fps every 4-5 seconds.

What can I do? Is there a chance I can return this product? It's still under warranty, I purchased it around 3 months ago, and initially though of keeping it, as it was meant for work, but I don't wann apay for something that I was tricked into buying.

Thanks,

Chris

@chris_bannu

If you have something WRITTEN from HP guaranteeing you the frame rates you mention, you then MIGHT be able to get a refund --but if all you've seen is advertising, such claims would be dismissed as "advertising license".

However, this is just self-help Community staffed mostly by volunteers and we are not authorized to deal with warranty, service,  equipment replacement, or return/refund issues. For these issues, you will need to contact HP Customer Support.

To contact HP Support see the following link to create yourself a case number, then call and it may help speed up the call process:
