Hi:

It has been my recent discovery if you updated your BIOS via Windows update, the release is so new, that HP hasn't uploaded it to the support site yet.

As of today, the support site indicates that F.44 is the latest BIOS update for the 15-dk1xxx model series.

The same thing happened to me late last month on my HP 800 G3 Desktop MIni PC.

I got a 'firmware' update from Windows Update, and I assumed it was the next BIOS version for my PC, and it was.

But lo and behold, the update was nowhere to be found on my 800 G3's support page.

The support page indicated that v2.46 was the latest update and Windows Update installed v2.47.

Since you posted this question, I decided to check my PC's support page and the BIOS update I received via Windows Update was finally released to the support page.

I think if you wait two to three weeks, the BIOS update you received will show up on your notebook's support page.

do you have any idea how to roll back to previous bios version because this version have locked bios settings and i can’t use GRUB to under volt the CPU.

HP Recommended

If you tried to run the file for version F.43 and it won't let you roll back the BIOS, unfortunately I don't know how it can be done.

It just give me this error: Unable to open BIOS Signature file.

Then it is unlikely you can go back to an older version.

:’v oh man, but when i try to backup toolkit it say it can’t even identify the BIOS, do you think it is because it is corrupted or what?

HP Recommended

Unfortunately, I wouldn't know.

I've never had a problem with a BIOS update or tried to roll one back.

I doubt the BIOS is corrupted or the notebook wouldn't work.

I recommend you start a new discussion.

Perhaps someone else can help you.
