Can't see touchpad gestures in windows 10 settings

Hi, just got this laptop, and while setting it up I've noticed the lack of 3 and 4 finger swipe gestures in touchpad settings. I use these really often, and it's a bit disappointing to find that they're not there. The default swipe gestures work, however, I would like to customise them.

I've checked my driver, the most recent one I could find from HP is installed (dated 16th March 2020). Windows 10 version is 22h2, unable to run windows 11.

Any solutions accepted. Thanks in advance.

I understand you are facing an issue with your HP Notebook - 15-bs646tx might be missing advanced touchpad features like three- and four-finger gestures, which could be due to either driver limitations or settings not being fully configured.

 Here are a few steps to troubleshoot and enable touchpad gestures:

1. Check for Precision Touchpad Support

• Go to Settings > Devices > Touchpad.
• Look for a section that mentions "You have a precision touchpad." If this message is absent, your touchpad might not be classified as a "precision touchpad," which could be why you're unable to customize advanced gestures.

2. Enable Advanced Gestures

If you have a precision touchpad:

• In Settings > Devices > Touchpad, scroll down to the Advanced Gesture Configuration section.
• Here, you should be able to customize gestures for three and four fingers.

If these settings are not visible, proceed with the next steps to update your driver.

3. Update the Synaptics or ELAN Driver

Your laptop might use a Synaptics or ELAN touchpad, and updating this driver could enable the missing gestures.

• Visit Device Manager (right-click Start > Device Manager).
• Expand Mice and other pointing devices.
• Right-click on your touchpad (it might be listed as Synaptics, ELAN, or similar) and select Update driver.
• Choose Search automatically for updated driver software.
