Try downloading and running the free version of Wise Registry Cleaner - perform Deep/Full scan and when ready, select all options and fix them

Here is a link to download >> http://downloads.wisecleaner.com/soft/WiseCare365_5.4.4.540.exe

Information in general about the product >> https://www.wisecleaner.com/download.html

Try again eventually.

If you run the installer again, do you see an option for removal/uninstallation - IF you do, please uninstall first and only after that try to reinstall.

Thank you for following my instructions. I am afraid there is nothing else that I can offer to you to resolve this issue. You can either not use Client Security Manager or try something else.

You may try reaching to HP Support for business products directly. Here is their phone number >> 0207 660 0403

Just had the CASE on a private notebook HP 840 G6.

* Out of HP 1809 W10 English

* Did not touch anything except COMPUTERNAME

* Did UPDATE to 1903 with the EXE from MS

* Reboot / Update to 1903 > OK

* UNSURE IF problem is ALREADY would be there that you can't uninstall

* < MAYBE Source from our side > Runs several tools like "Bloatware Removal Utility, from Rick" where you can BULK uninstall different HP and DELL tools silent with PS.

* REBOOT, Looked fine

* DID try to deinstallCLIENT SECURITY HP MANAGER

>>>> ERROR same as you had event

* Downloaded the latest version from FORUM entry thi SITE

* Upgrade failed becaus ALL he does it want zo uninstall the old version

SOLUTION:

Used SP98508, setup.exe > Instead UNINSTALl > REPAIR > WENT 100%

Reboot

Uninstall through ADD-Software > WEN 100%

SOLVED

* DO NOT try WISE registry cleaner or anything like that.

* Mostly this happens if MSI-source cached files are NOT there where they should. You can see this information where the MSI Cache file should be in Registry. YOu could copy the missing MSI from another SAME laptop or try our solution above.

AT the END:

HP if it's from the 1809 toi 1903 UPDATE > Not very nice and we don't like that on a business modell

Manager around 4'000 in total HP laptops with X-different customers but there with commercial software Deployment like SSCM or MDT.

This was a private one..... (Gladly)
