Hi,

I have a problem with downloading drivers from this link

http://support.hp.com/hr-en/drivers/selfservice/HP-Pavilion-15-Notebook-PC-series/10862166/model/127...

Every file hangs at cca 15 mb with no connection error. Tried downloading from home and work computer. Please fix your FTP servers.

Best regards,

Daffy

I just changed http: in links to ftp:

eg.

http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp77001-77500/sp77154.exe

to

ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp77001-77500/sp77154.exe

and all is ok now. This confirms that endpoint is the issue here. I'm just writing this if anyone else encounters the same problem. I accept my solution 🙂

Hello;

Allow me to welcome you to the HP forums!

There's nothing wrong with the HP FTP servers.  I just downloaded a 203MB driver file from that link in 15 seconds!

My guess, is that since you mentioned Win10, you are using that half-baked excuse for a Browser known as Edge -- and LOTS of folks are reporting download problems with that.

Instead, switch to a Browser that actually works -- like Internet Explorer.

Good Luck

Actually I'm using Chrome on both computers. And it still happens. One is on Windows 10 and one is on Windows 7.

Also they are not connected on the same network so it's not network releated issue. Endpoint is the problem here. Please check your routing.

Hi:

The support pages are designed to work on IE10 and 11.

This is a peer to peer forum.  HP maintains no official presence here, so there is nothing we can do about the issue.

You will need to contact HP technical support for the country you live in and report the problem.

However, I concur with WAWood...I took the largest file I could find on that page...Nvidia graphics driver and it completely downloaded for me in less than 3 minutes, so methinks the problem is definitely on your end.

I'm NOT going to get into an arguement with you -- that would server no useful purpose.

Fail to see what my routing has to do with YOUR not being able to download.

The servers are responding fine to me, and I'm using Chromium and Firefox.

Sorry, I was not aware that there is no official HP personnel presence here. I just called my brother in another city to see if he can download the files. The problem is still present. Obviously there is some kind of routing problem on ftp side. I will contact official support.
