Hi @YY93

Welcome to the HP Support Community! We're here to help you get back up and running.

I understand how inconvenient it feels when you’re unable to sign in to HP Support Assistant, and I appreciate any steps you may have already tried.

Let’s go through a clear path together so you can get back to using the tool smoothly.

Step 1: Check Internet Connection

  • Ensure the notebook is connected to a stable network.
  • If using Wi‑Fi, try switching to a wired connection temporarily to rule out connectivity issues.

Step 2: Update HP Support Assistant

  • Open Control Panel > Programs > Programs and Features.
  • Locate HP Support Assistant and uninstall it.
  • Restart the notebook.
  • Download and install the latest version from HP’s official site:
    HP Support Assistant Download

Step 3: Verify Windows Account

  • Sign in to Windows with an administrator account.
  • HP Support Assistant requires administrator rights to complete sign‑in and update processes.

Step 4: Clear Temporary Files

  • Press Windows + R, type temp, and delete the files inside the folder.
  • Repeat with %temp%.
  • Restart the notebook before launching HP Support Assistant again.

Step 5: Launch HP Support Assistant

  • After reinstalling, open HP Support Assistant from the Start menu.
  • Sign in with your HP account credentials.
  • If you don’t have an HP account, you can create one directly from the sign‑in screen.

By following these steps, you’ll refresh the application and clear any blocks that may have prevented sign‑in. The links provided give you direct access to HP’s official resources for installation and usage.

Thanks very much for reaching out.
I figured out how to resolve this issue and successfully signed in to HP Support Assistant.
However, I do not remember the steps I took, so I am unfortunately unable to share those details.
All the best.
