If secure boot is enabled in the BIOS, disable Secure boot, save the setting, restart the notebook and see if the USB flash drive shows up as a bootable device afterwards. 

 

If not, I won't be able to help you any further, because I have no idea what the problem is.

If that doesn't work, make sure you use the Microsoft Media creation tool to create the bootable USB W10 installation media if you did not do so already.

 

Download Windows 10

 

Sometimes the USB flash drive won't show up as a bootable device if it was not created properly.

I bought this usb ssd  enclosure thinking that it would let me format the ssd drive from my desktop or laptop.  But for the life of me I can't get windows 10 installed on it unless it is a readable only and won't let it copy any files or anything.  I'm stuck but not giving up!!!!!!!

im sorry I have not replied before now but the motherboard was bad and now im on it and its working great. im gonna try and put win 11 on here if i can finr the post you sent me telling me how to do it. Anyway thanks for all your help and i will be in touch to let you know how it went or not.
