HP Envy x360 2 in 1 Now the sticker on the back says EU-1026NR, serial number" Tj23099N6Y: Also there is a ""67W66UAT#ABA"" when I've had to basically for the last 16 months of having this laptop, just get drivers and software updates from "67W66UA"" I have to this day never been able to find ""67W66UAT#ABA"". Then there is further confusion when I'm typing in my info No matter where i type in the s/n I'm told its not a valid serial number. I dont know why my device is so like hard to get help for I feel like it originated in a different country because I mean I got it I think renewed of amazon but Its all AMD stuff ryzen7 5825U , AMD radeon igpu. Anyway when I try to update to BIOS F.08 it keeps saying that I need to make disk space and I mean I deffinitely dont need to make disk space can I please get some help here?

Hi @DirtyJezis,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
To address the issue with updating the BIOS on your HP Envy x360, there are a few steps and considerations to take into account. Here's a structured approach to troubleshoot and resolve the problem.
Verify System Information
- Model Number: Confirm your model number by checking the system information in Windows. Go to Settings > System > About and verify the model listed there.
- Serial Number: Ensure you have the correct serial number by checking the BIOS settings or the sticker on the back of the laptop. You can also use HP Support Assistant to retrieve accurate system information.
Disk Space Verification
- Disk Space Check: Ensure you have sufficient disk space by checking This PC in File Explorer. Right-click on your primary drive (usually C:) and select Properties to view available space.
- Temporary Files: Sometimes, temporary files can take up unnecessary space. Clean up temporary files by running Disk Cleanup (search for it in the Start menu) and select the options to remove temporary files.
BIOS Update Preparation
- Download Correct BIOS Update: Make sure you download the BIOS update specific to your model from the HP Support website. Use the 67W66UA identifier if 67W66UAT#ABA is not recognized.
- HP Support Assistant: Use the HP Support Assistant tool to check for and download the BIOS update. This tool often simplifies the process.
Troubleshoot BIOS Update Process
- Run as Administrator: Ensure you are running the BIOS update executable as an administrator. Right-click the file and select Run as administrator.
- Temporary Files and Free Space: If the error persists, the BIOS update tool might require additional temporary space. Ensure you have more than enough free space (at least 20GB recommended). You can also try moving large files to an external drive temporarily.
Create BIOS Update USB Drive
- Alternative Method: If updating through Windows continues to fail, create a BIOS update USB drive. Follow these steps:
- Download the BIOS update file from the HP website.
- Use HP's tool to create a bootable USB drive with the BIOS update.
- Restart your laptop and boot from the USB drive to perform the BIOS update.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
