HP Stream
Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

Hi, I have just bought a HP Stream Laptop for WFH use for the next couple of months. I have had the laptop on charge for a couple of hours, but the battery still stays 0% - and when I pull out the charging socket, the laptop automatically turns off. IS there a fault with this device- or do I need to leave the laptop on charge for a considerable amount of time before use?

To be clear, the laptop works fine when plugged in- but obviously no power is getting to the battery. Please can you advise me on what to do?

Kind Regards,

Jonathan

Hi, Jonathan:

It doesn't sound good to me.

I have a Stream 11 notebook, and when the battery is at 10% charge, it charges to 100% in a couple of hours or less.

See the link below for how to test the battery.

You may have to replace the battery, which may not be easy since on most newer model Stream PC's like mine, it is an internal one.
