Product: Elitebook 8440P
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

I'm trying to connect my HP Elitebook to an Emerson Plasma Display TV. I have an HDMI cable and HDMI to RGA adapter. I can't get the TV to recognize the Laptop or vice versa.

I don't believe these HDMI-to-Something-else adapters work, as I have tried several different kinds, and the only thing I've been able to get to work is DisplayPort-to-HDMI adapters.

You should contact the support site for your TV manufacturer and see what they recommend.
