EliteBook 840 G9
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello,

I am having troubles to connect my EliteBook  840 G9 laptop to a Thuderbolt G4 docking. Both are new.

As soon as I connect the docking through USB-C, the laptop (running Windows 10 pro) goes into an infinite loop connecting and disconnecting the docking continuously every few seconds.

In parallel I get the error message "USB device functionality may be limited".

I spent a few hours now checking all connections , rebooting many times, and verifying laptop settings. But have no idea yet of where the problem could be. Anyone with good suggestions on where I should look for trouble-shooting?

I checked in the windows event viewer, and as the docking connects/disconnects I receive a combination of error IDs 27, 28 and 4207.

Please help!
