OMEN by HP 16.1 inch Gaming Laptop 16-n0000 IDS Base Unit

Once my HP Omen laptop goes into sleep mode there is this 'boop' sound every 15 seconds or so. this only occurs when I have the laptop connected to a Pluggable USB-C dock.  The sound is incredibly like the sound made if I unplug and re-plug the dock while the laptop is not in sleep mode.  Which makes me think the sleeping PC is continually disconnecting and reconnecting to the dock while it's asleep.  Is there a way to make it not do that - short of unplugging the dock altogether?
