HP ENVY x360 Laptop - 15-ee0002na
Microsoft Windows 11

This happens often maybe twice a week.

The computer will get very hot but the fans will fail to come on (obviously this is not good!!!).

The fans themselves are not defective, on restart, the fans will suddenly come on at maximum to cool the computer down.

I'm not sure if this is a common problem but I did see a couple other people complaining about it on a forum, but without any fix.

My thermal profile is "HP recommended".

Hi@sam_ee,

Welcome to the HP Support Community! I'd like to help!

I see you are experiencing cooling Fan issues with the HP ENVY X360 Laptop

I have a few recommendations

  • Update your Notebook computer to the latest BIOS from HP.COM.
  • Make sure the Windows and HP support assistant updates are up to date.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
