Hi,
It's basically a slightly scaled down version of the commercial offering; the license is permanent and will not expire.
One point to mention is that you may occassionally see options to 'Update' or 'Upgrade' - the Update option just enhances the current installation, whereas the Upgrade option will take you to the Cyberlink site where you can purchase the commercial version.
