Neither of the devices labeled as an Unknown Device need any of the chipset drivers, and the smart card (SD) reader would be labeled as a PCI Device when no driver is installed, not an unknown device.
The driver for the 3D driveguard (which I guarantee to be one of the unknown devices) is not on the dv6-4000 support page.

All the device-drivers you need for your model of HP computer are online:
Just pick the ones that you need.
One "unknown" could be the "smart-card" reader software.
I recommend that you Install both of the items under the "Driver-Chipset" category on that page.

Installing the Intel Management Engine Interface (MEI) Driver

Hi, @chowdude :
One of the unknown devices would need this driver...
This package provides HP 3D DriveGuard for the supported notebook models and operating systems. HP 3D DriveGuard receives notifications from the integrated accelerometer and protects the hard drive (HDD) by automatically "parking the heads" to reduce the risk of damage if the notebook is accidentally bumped or dropped.

The other unknown device may need the fingerprint sensor driver.
This package contains the driver that enables the Validity Fingerprint Sensor in supported notebook models that are running a supported operating system. The fingerprint sensor scans fingerprints for use with biometric security applications.

[One of those "both" is the M.E.I. driver.]

Once again, the second response gives the same information as the first response, using different wording.
A "vote of confidence" for the first response!
Why bother "replicating" ? Trolling for a "thumbs-up" ?
