Do I need to keep the battery plugged in to charge when I work with the laptop?

Is it good to charge the battery up to 80% or is it okay to charge it up to 100%?

It is OK to charge the battery to 100%, but do not leave it in a constant 100% charge state 24/7/365 because that could lead to battery swelling.

 

You want to unplug the notebook from A/C power and let it run off the battery once in a while.
