Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

update for sp93416 Intel Bluetooth driver (Windows 10 UWD) states that the previous package must be removed before running this update. (Spectre x360)

How do I know what package is on my computer and how do I delete it.

Thanks

Hi:

I don't belive that is necessary anymore.  It used to be with W7.

But here is how you check...

Go to the windows control panel>Programs>uninstall a program.

The programs are listed in alphabetical order.

If there is an Intel bluetooth software program showing up there, uninstall it, restart the PC and then install the driver.

If there isn't, you can proceed with installing sp93416.

So that explanation would lead to a few other questions.

1. If I don't need this update, Why would the support assistant download it?

2. Is this the case for all downloads?

3. How do I know if I need to install an update?

I don't understand your first question.

The update is optional. I would install it.

What you don't necessarily need to do is uninstall the previous software package if it is not listed where I indicated it would be if it was.

2. Not usually.

3. I have no idea.
