Hi Paul Tikkanen,

I recently noticed that my laptop does not support brightness adjustment keys (F2 and F3). This is so brighter and not able to use at night. Is there a way to do it at least in windows level?

When I checked in Conrtrol Pannel (Power Plan Settings), i could not get the brightness adjustment.

Any suggestions please?

Thanks,

Kalaivanan A

Hi:

Did you install the graphics driver?

If the graphics driver is installed. you should be seeing an Intel HD graphics adapter under the Display Adapters device manager category.

If you see a Standard VGA Adapter, that means the graphics driver is not installed and that is why you can't adjust the brightness.

Thanks for your reply.
As you said, it is showing Standard VGA Graphics Adapter in the device manager. It remains same even after downloading and installing the Graphics driver.

Note: As I don't find drivers for this particular model with Win 7, I installed the same driver of HP 15ay000 as you suggested initially.

Thanks

You're very welcome.

The only other suggestion I can offer would be to try the W7 graphics driver directly from Intel.

The 1st driver on the top left side of the page is the auto install file.

Hi Paul Tikkanen,

Thank you very much for the solution. This driver made my keyboard to work properly.

I am able to see the Intel Grapics under Display adapter section. Also able to adjust the brightness usig the F keys.

Thanks,
