Microsoft edge has disappeared No browser at all

Microsoft has been replacing the "old" Edge browser with a new Chrome-based version, and while they have not (of course) provided the public any kind of schedule for that, they are now forcing it on folks.  My guess is that THIS is what happened to you.

 

You would need to go into Settings --> Applications to see if the new Edge is there. It will be shown when you scroll down to Microsoft apps.
