HP Pavilion x360 14 Convertible PC 14-dy0000 (241W3AV)

Every time i turn on my laptop my mouse pointer size is on the largest possible size. I keep changing the setting back to the original size (which is the smalles possible one) and whenever i go on settings the mouse pointer size is already at it's smallest when it's not and i can still increase it's size even more until my mouse size becomes massive. It's also getting worse now because after i change the size it's now changing to a larger one straight away.

@ellie_tan, Welcome to HP Support Community,

Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue

First, try running SFC /scannow in Command Prompt (Admin) to check for system file corruption.

Then, update your graphics drivers by going to Device Manager > Display Adapters, right-clicking your GPU, and selecting Update Driver.

If the issue persists, try creating a new user account in Settings > Accounts > Other users > Add a new user and see if the problem happens there. If everything works fine in the new account, your current profile may be corrupted.

Another quick fix is to go to Settings > Accessibility > Mouse Pointer and Touch, change the pointer size to something different, restart your laptop, and then set it back to the smallest size.

I hope these steps help resolve the issue

Please feel free to reply here if you have any questions or if you need further clarification on any of the steps.

Take care and have a good day.
